The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) received a visit from representatives from the Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) in order to sign a cooperation agreement. This meeting was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement document and the distribution of souvenirs by both parties offline at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, on Wednesday (20/7/2022).

The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K)., accompanied by the Vice Dean of Planning, Business Cooperation and Information, Dr. Selfi Handayani, dr., M.Kes. with the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) UNNES, Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu, M.Pd., accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FIK UNNES, Dr. Mahalul Azam, dr., M.Kes.

The purpose of signing this cooperation agreement is assistance from the Faculty of Medicine, UNS at the opening of the Medical Study Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Negeri Semarang.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in his speech said that although the government has provided many opportunities for state universities to open medical study programs, they must still pay attention to the quality problem of the study program to be established.

“Of course we have to stick to quality, there must be quality assurance in the medical study program, this is because the medical study program is somewhat unique compared to other study programs, because besides academics there are professions. Even though the education process is separate, it becomes an educational package so that it requires coaching that distinguishes it from the others," Prof. Reviono said.

He also hoped that this collaboration could run well and smoothly so that it can realize a new medical study program which in the future can produce doctors who are beneficial to the community.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) UNNES, Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu, M.Pd. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude for the guidance provided by the Faculty of Medicine, UNS.

"We are very grateful and very grateful for the approval of the Faculty of Medicine UNS to be able to foster and accompany us in realizing the opening of the study program and faculty of medicine at the State University of Semarang," she said.
