Field Assessment for Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Re-Accreditation
The Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS) Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) underwent field assessment activities in the context of accreditation on 1-3 June 2022.
Dr. Oea Khairsyaf, dr., Sp.P(K)., MARS and Dr. Mohammad Rizki Akbar, dr., M.Kes., Sp.JP(K) received an assignment from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes) to directly review and provide an assessment of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine UNS.
The activity started with a presentation by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), followed by the Head of the PPDS Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program, Ana Rima Setijadi, dr., Sp.P(K). Furthermore, the event was continued with a question and answer session by the two assessors with the heads of faculties and study programs.
Not only looking at the completeness of the documents in the form that has been prepared by the study program, the assessors also directly observe the learning activities at the main teaching hospital as well as the completeness of the facilities and infrastructure in the hospital to support teaching and learning activities.
In his review at the UNS Hospital, the two assessors were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si as the Director of UNS Hospital. After listening to the presentation and doing questions and answers, the two assessors went around UNS Hospital to see the existing facilities.
On the last day of the field assessment process, the two assessors visited the infrastructure at Dr. Hospital. Moewardi as the Main Teaching Hospital of FK UNS and was welcomed by the Director of the Hospital Dr. Moewardi, Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG(K).
Dr. Mohammad Rizki Akbar, dr., M.Kes., Sp.JP(K) hoped that the results of this accreditation can be in accordance with the expectations of all parties and PPDS Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine FK UNS can be one of the study programs that is taken into account in Indonesia.
“Hopefully the results obtained are in line with the expectations of the study programs and faculties, then as we said from the start, hopefully the results are the same as we expected, good results with maximum results. Hopefully the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program at FK UNS will become a pulmonology center to be reckoned with in Indonesia," dr. sustenance said.
He was also impressed by the readiness of the PPDS Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine Study Program at FK UNS in preparing for this accreditation process. Although the number of staff is not as much as other study programs, they can prepare themselves very well.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) was grateful that the field assessment activities could run smoothly, he did not forget to thank all the advice given by the two assessors during the field assessment process for the good of the Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine PPDS Study Program, FK UNS going forward.
