FK UNS Releases 23 New Specialist Doctors
The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) through the Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS) on Friday (22/04/2022), held the Release of Specialist Doctors for the April 2022 Period. This event was attended by the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T., Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), vice deans, Director of Dr. Hospital. Moewardi Surakarta, Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG(K)., S.H and all the Heads of the PPDS Study Program FK UNS.
This event was attended by 23 PPDS FK UNS students from 7 Study Programs (Prodi). 4 of the participants were recipients of the Ministry of Health's Study Task Scholarship. In this release, there were participants with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved by Septina Hestiningrum, Sp.P.D (NIM S961802010) with a GPA of 3.88 from the Internal Medicine Study Program. Meanwhile, the youngest specialist graduate is Frieda, dr., Sp.D.V from the Dermatology and Venereology Study Program at the age of 30 years and 9 months.
In his speech, Prof. Kuncoro reminded the new specialist doctors not to stop learning and improving their knowledge.
“I believe that on the shoulders of the specialist doctors who have been inaugurated today, there is a heavy burden of responsibility that is not light in realizing their doctor's oath. But my brother need not worry. With the ability to master medical science and medical skills that you have and master, I am sure you will be able to achieve success and maintain the dignity of the medical profession.” Prof. Kuncoro said.
Management of the Alumni Family Association (IKA) FK UNS, dr. Edi Santoso Suryawan, Sp.B., FINACS. In his speech, he advised that new specialist doctors when taking part in society should prioritize good professional ethics because every move will bring the good name of the alma mater and association.
"For this reason, we sincerely ask you to advise that in carrying out it is your obligation to carry out your profession, always remember that we are always supervised by the Almighty Creator, no matter how small you do it will all be recorded and will have consequences or benefits," dr. Edi said.
Hospital Director Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG on this occasion hoped that the knowledge provided by the good lecturers at Dr. Hospital. Moewardi and at the hospital network can be applied in the community.
The Dean of FK UNS Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) in his speech congratulated the new specialist doctors while conveying that there are still many opportunities ahead that these new specialists can take advantage of.
“I congratulate all of you who have completed a stage that you may have planned to aspire to as a specialist. But this stage can continue or it can stop here. It could be continued as a sub specialist or maybe you have a career elsewhere, maybe in management or in other public positions or maybe to S-3. Those are all opportunities that lie ahead,” Prof. Reviono said.
Furthermore, Prof. Reviono advised specialist doctors after becoming alumni and taking part in the community to always maintain integrity, professionalism, and good networks.
With the release of specialist doctors for the April 2022 period, the Faculty of Medicine, UNS, since its establishment in 1976, has graduated 1502 (one thousand five hundred and two) specialist doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions, both in the field of health services, education, research, as well as government, private, TNI/POLRI specialist doctors and others.
