The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK-UNS) again held the Inauguration and Hippocratic Oath Taking on Tuesday (19/04/2022). The Inauguration and Hippocratic Oath Taking this time was the 219th period held by the Faculty of Medicine UNS since its establishment in 1976. A total of 9 participants attended this event consisting of 3 male participants and 6 female participants. The event took place in a hybrid manner because there were 2 participants from Vietnam who attended via Zoom Cloud Meeting.

Participants in this activity were those who have passed the Medical Profession Program Student Competency Examination (UKMPPD) which was held in February 2022. The UKMPPD was attended by 12 participants with a total of 9 participants (75%) while the first taker passing rate was 6 people (75%) of the 8 participants.

Director of the Regional General Hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Dr. Cahyono Hadi, dr., Sp.OG (K) on this occasion advised the new doctors, who had been sworn in, to determine their goals. This goal mapping was considered important because it determines where the next steps will be taken.

In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K) said that this doctor's oath is only the beginning of the career journey of new doctors and not the end of the struggles of new doctors so far. He also reminded that there are still many stairs to be tread by new doctors.

“There are quite a lot of stairs in front. You can take the specialist ladder or the educator and lecturer ladder or another ladder. However, how many stairs you choose depends on your choice. Only one ladder is allowed, but if you want to climb to the top you can too. We are very open if friends want to take education at UNS again," Prof. Reviono explained.

The chairman of the Alumni Association (IKA) FK UNS, Sri Pratomo, dr., Sp.B., FINACS, FICS who also attended this event advised new doctors to continue to carry out 3K, namely: fellowship, politeness, and togetherness.

At the Inauguration and Hippocratic Oath Taking this time, there was 1 participant with the Cumlaude predicate and the highest of Grade Point Average (GPA) was achieved by Ramadhaningtyas Maghfirotul Fajriani, with a GPA of 3.75. With the inauguration of the 219th period doctors today, since the establishment in 1976 the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret, has graduated 6,682 (Six Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Two) doctors, who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various institutions. both in the field of health services, education, research, as well as government doctors, private, TNI / POLRI and others.
