Thursday (17/3/2022). An online Field Assessment (AL) was held in the FK UNS auditorium. This assessment activity was carried out in order to obtain the legality of the new internal medicine study program from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Health Higher Education (LAM-PTKes).

The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S. as the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at UNS. In his remarks, he confirmed the readiness and feasibility of UNS in opening this new study program.

Currently, UNS, which has the status of PTNBH, is very ready and worthy to open a new study program for sub-internal medicine at the Faculty of Medicine.

The Director of LAM-PTKes Accreditation, Dr. Soetrisno MA, assigned two assessors. They are Prof. Dr. dr. Maimun Syukri, Sp.PD-KGH, FINASIM. from Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) Banda Aceh and Dr. dr. Sony Wibisono Mudjanarko, Sp.PD-KEMD, FINASIM. From Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya.

The online Field Assessment was carried out for 1 day. The scoring of the results of the online field assessment used an assessment format according to the Study Program available in the Minimum Online LAM-PTKes Accreditation Information System (SIMAK).

The opening of a new study program in internal medicine FK UNS became the first Sub-specialist Study Program at FK UNS and also in Central Java. Various specializations in it, including the tropics of infection, kidney, hypertension, and gastroentero hepatology with the excellence of Translational Research.

The opening of the new Internal Medicine Study Program was supported by qualified and competent educators, namely 18 sub-specialist consultant doctors, 6 of whom have doctorates and professors.

The Internal Medicine Sub-Specialist Study Program, FK UNS, was supported by the Collegium of Internal Medicine and the Indonesian Medical Council. In addition, this study program was also supported by the track record of the Internal Medicine Specialist Study Program which had been accredited 3 times as LAMPTKES Superior.
