Being a medical student with various activities and busy learning activities, perhaps for most students are very tiring and requires a lot of time so that they no longer have much free time to do other activities.

However, for Faizal Muhammad, a student of the Doctor Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS), this is not a barrier to keep making achievements in the non-academic field. By being serious and careful in dividing his time, Faizal managed to register himself as a champion in several swimming championships or triathlon events.

This student who was born in Surakarta, July 30, 1997, managed to win 2nd place in the Surakarta Mini Triathlon championship which was held on Saturday (5/3/2022). Triathlon is a sport that combines 3 sports: swimming, bicycle racing and running, which are carried out continuously or sequentially at one time.

In the championship which was held at Manahan Stadium, Faizal managed to record a time of 01:07:32.91 and was entitled to get second place. Although he recorded a pretty good time and finished second, it turned out that Faizal had a bit of disappointment with this result. This was because the record time was only 2 seconds slower than the record time produced by rank one.

"The difference with the 1st place winner is only 2 seconds. Of course, there is sadness, disappointment, and regret. However, that is the result of my training," he said.

Faizal admitted that he has been practicing without using a trainer but only by applying his knowledge of various anatomy and physiology that he had acquired from college as well as maintaining food intake and training the muscles needed in triathlon sports.

Although he did not focus on sports and remained focus on his studies as a young doctor, Faizal gave advice to friends who want to pursue a particular field to be serious so that they would produce achievements and not just waste time.
