UNS Covid-19 Vaccination Event: Dedicated to Prepare for Face-to-face Learning for Students
The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has been going on for about a year and a half. Various sectors and fields have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including the education sector. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has made learning carried out in the education sector shift from face-to-face learning to online learning. This will affect the quality of the education implemented. Therefore, a solution is needed to overcome COVID-19 so that the various affected sectors can recover. One of the solutions implemented in Indonesia now is the COVID-19 vaccination.
Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in collaboration with the Regional Health Detachment (Denkesyah) 04.04.04 Surakarta and the Military Resort Command (Korem) 074/Warastratama, had carried out the COVID-19 Vaccination Raid activity intended for UNS students and academics. This activity took place from Thursday, July 1, 2021 and ended on Friday, August 20, 2021. This activity took place at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, UNS. The number of doses given from the opening of the vaccination program to closing is 30,000 doses with the CoronaVac or SINOVAC vaccine types.
Under the guidance of dr. Siti Munawaroh, M. MedEd, group C1 Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNS participated in the UNS COVID-19 Vaccination Event activity as a committee team. In this KKN activity, there were various roles and tasks that would be carried out by the committee, including the Vaccination Registration section which would take care of vaccination registration, the temperature check section to monitor the temperature of the vaccination participants, the TTV Liason Officer section who would direct the vaccination participants to sit in the chair queue, the TTV section who would check blood pressure, Vaccination Liason Officer who would direct participants to sit in the order of vaccination, file collector who would collect vaccine participant files, AEFI Liason Officer who would observe participants indicated post-immunization follow-up events (AEFI) and would direct to the Vaccination ICU, Primary Care officers who would enter data on vaccination participants on the PCare site, data verification officers who would check participant data before leaving the vaccination site, facilities and infrastructure officers who were responsible for providing facilities and public relations and IT officers who were responsible for making templates and online form formats or google forms that would be used as registration data for vaccination participants and responsible for integrating vaccination participant databases. The KKN committee will take turns doing this role every time they get a guard duty, so that all committees would have experiences in various roles and tasks.
According to the head of the C1 group of FK UNS Thematic KKN, Rakabayu Oetama, “Following the UNS FK Thematic KKN is certainly very proud, to be able to carry out Recognition KKN by being part of the committee for the mass vaccination program at UNS. In addition to participating in increasing national vaccination coverage, on the other hand, as medical students, we have gained a lot of knowledge from both clinical and administrative aspects of national health. In addition, we also hope that with this mass vaccination program, it can accelerate face-to-face learning at UNS, so that learning will be more effective.”
