Research Group (RG) Nutrition, metabolism, and medicine (TRIMED), one of the research groups at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) which focuses on studies in the fields of nutrition, metabolic diseases and medicine, held a community services activity that was located at the As Syakur Mosque in the Jungkang, Buran, Tasikmadu, Karanganyar area on Sunday (13/6/2021). This mosque is one of the mosques under the guidance of the Karanganyar Community Business Foundation (YUUK) as an activity partner. The event took place from 19.30-21.15 WIB, attended by 45 youths from the mosque who were the targets of the activity, YUUK administrators and 10 members of TRIMED. In his remarks, the Chairman of YUUK, Dr. Drs. Siswanto, MSi, appreciated this activity and he also gave the opportunity to all similar activities would be carried out on other occasions as permanent partners.

RG TRIMED chose youth targets in the hope that they could become driving agents or cadres in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The event is given in 3 materials, namely:
1) Nutrition to prevent Covid-19 by Amalina Shabrina, SGz., MSc
2) Implementation of PHBS at home and in public places by Drs Widardo, MSc
3) Presentation and demonstration of making simple herbs by Joko Sudarsono, SFarm., MPH., Apt.

The essence of the presentations and demonstrations given was the need to maintain nutritious food intake; maintaining a clean and healthy lifestyle anywhere and using herbs available around our homes as an effort to increase immunity in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. After the presentation of the material, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and also taste simple herbal products that have been demonstrated how to make them.
The event was closed at 21.15 WIB by Dr. Budiyanti Wiboworini, dr., MKes., SpGK as the Chairperson of
RG TRIMED FK UNS who hoped that the youths of the mosque could apply the knowledge in their familyhood.
