FK UNS: Blessing and Healthy Ramadan

(14/4/2021) The presence of the holy month of Ramadan 1442 H is a month that all Muslims have been waiting for. The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings and specialties. In the month of Ramadan, all acts of worship are multiplied, the doors of heaven are wide open and the gates of hell are closed and the devil is shackled. Muslims do not want to miss the opportunity to improve the quality of worship in order to get closer to Allah SWT.

The Covid-19 vaccination program for medical or public service personnel, educators (lecturers) and the elderly (elderly) will still be continued during the month of Ramadan.

Between teaching schedule, the Head of the Anatomy Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) as well as the chairman of Takmir at the Rahmi Mosque FK UNS, Nanang Wiyono, dr., M.Kes., said that:

"The month of Ramadan is an opportunity for Muslims to increase worship, cleanse the heart, increase social care and is beneficial for health. This year, the month of Ramadan is still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic, but we can still carry out Ramadan fasting as well as possible, as an effort to get closer to Allah SWT and ask Allah to lift the pandemic from the face of the earth.

During the month of Ramadan, the prevention and handling of Covid-19 will continue as well as possible in an effort to overcome the pandemic such as a Swab test for those who need it and a vaccination program.

For Muslims who have the opportunity to be vaccinated during the month of Ramadan, according to the MUI fatwa no. 13 of 2021 that the Covid-19 vaccination which is injected intramuscularly (injecting into the muscle) does not invalidate fasting.

During the month of Ramadan, community activities will continue with the maximum possible health protocol, including learning activities for the UNS academic community, which take place as usual with time adjustments."

Happy fasting, hopefully it will run smoothly, stay healthy and happy.
