FK UNS: UPK Assistance Workshop for Improvement of Study Program Curriculum and Synchronization with Siakad

Curriculum changes in tertiary institutions are routine activities that must be carried out in response to the development of Science, Technology, and Arts (IPTEKS) (scientific vision), societal needs, and the needs of graduate users (stakeholder needs). The problem that often arises among academics is the understanding of how to reconstruct the higher education curriculum, which is still very diverse, both between similar study programs and between universities.

Law Number 12 of 2012 Article 35 paragraph 2 mandates that the Higher Education Curriculum is developed by each Tertiary Education Institution with reference to the National Higher Education Standards for each Study Program which includes the development of intellectual intelligence, noble character, and skills. The National Higher Education Standards (SN-Dikti), as stipulated in Permendikbud Number 3 of 2020 Article 1, states that the curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content, and learning materials as well as the methods used as guidelines for implementing learning activities to achieve the goals of Higher Education.

The Higher Education Curriculum is an institutional mandate that must be constantly updated in accordance with the development needs and science and technology as outlined in Learning Outcomes. Higher education as a producer of educated human resources needs to measure its graduates, whether the resulting graduates have 'abilities' equivalent to 'abilities' (learning outcomes) which have been formulated in the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI).
