The Role of Anesthesia and Intensive Therapy in the Management of Patients with Congenital Heart Disease
In 2019, the birth rate of babies with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) in Indonesia was recorded as 43,200 cases out of 4.8 million live births each year. With proper treatment and medical therapy after birth, it is hoped that the cure rate for patients with CHD will increase.
The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) - Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) - Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) in collaboration with Indonesian Association of Anesthesia and Intensive Therapy Specialists (PERDATIN) Yogyakarta - Solo - Central Java held the '1st Online Meet The Expert & Case Conference Joglosemar' event on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
The event which took the theme of Cardiac Anesthesia was attended by around 130 participants and featured 5 presentations from UNS, UGM and UNDIP. The speakers of this event were:
1. dr. Ardhian Surya Aji (UNS), with the material: Management of Patient with Ventricle Septal Defect, Severe Tricuspid Regurgutation and Gerbode Defect.
2. dr. Fandhi Ahmad Muttaqin (UNS), with the material: Management of VP Shunt Anesthesia in Neonates with Hypoplasty Left Heart Syndrome and Dandy Walker Syndrome.
3. dr. Kusuma Mahardhika (UNDIP) ), with the material: Management of Meningocele Reconstructive Anesthesia in Infants with Cyanotic CHD.
4. dr. Muhammad Rudita (UGM), with the material: Management of Palatoplasty Anesthesia in Children with Type IV Truncus Arterius.
5. dr. Guido Muhammad (UNDIP), who delivered Right Ventricular Failure: Perioperative, Management, ARDS.
The event which was moderated by dr. Paramitha Putri Hapsari, Sp.An., M.Kes closed with a question and answer session and presentation of opinions by panelists from each university, represented by Dr. dr. Purwoko, Sp.An., KAKV. KAO from UNS, dr. Widya Istanto, Sp.An., KAKV. KAR from UNDIP and dr. Bhirowo Yudo Pratomo, Sp.An., KAKV from UGM.
