Inauguration and Doctors’ Oath-Taking Ceremony of Faculty of Medicine UNS Period 214
“Hopefully with the knowledge they have, they will be able to dedicate it well”
The Covid-19 pandemic is still disturbing the world. Various efforts have been made to immediately end the pandemic period, as well as to limit the pandemic in choking all sectors of life including education. In the midst of an ongoing pandemic, the world of education must continue to receive attention so that it is not badly affected. Of course, we don't want the Corona pandemic to threaten the world of education. The pattern of life on the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) campus also adapted to these conditions. Face to face in routine should be avoided as much as possible by applying the principle of physical distancing. Work from home, online lectures, online exams and even online graduation must be done. The efforts made were intended to keep the learning process going.
At the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FK UNS) the 214 Period Doctor's Inauguration and Oath-taking event which was held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 was conducted online with 21 new doctors consisting of 9 men and 12 women, with details of 10 people participating in the procession offline in the FK UNS Auditorium and 11 people participating online. With the inauguration of the 214th period of FK UNS new doctors, since its establishment in 1976, the Faculty of Medicine UNS has graduated 6,424 new doctors who have spread throughout the country and have devoted their knowledge to various agencies in the fields of health services, education, research, and as a doctor of government, private sector, TNI / POLRI and others.
Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P (K) in his speech advised, "Hopefully with the knowledge they got while studying at the Faculty of Medicine UNS, the new doctor can devote it professionally. The new doctor this time is a new doctor who has experienced a quite difficult education and is different from the previous one, because they received education in a teaching hospital and perhaps only FK UNS could still provide education to students during this pandemic," he concluded.
