"Getting the position of Expert Assistant is not that difficult"

As Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) changed into a State Legal Entity University (PTNBH), many regulations were updated, one of them was to obtain performance and achievement compensation for educators or lecturers. In responding to changes of the existing regulations, the leaders of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNS appealed all FK UNS teaching staff who had not taken care of the functional positions of Lecturers to immediately take care of it.

The Faculty of Medicine UNS held an online Lecturer Functional Evaluation of FK UNS event on Monday, January 11, 2021 consisting of two sessions, the first session started at 08.00 to 10.00 (Western Indonesian Time) and the second session started at 13.00 to 15.00. There were 36 lecturers as participants in the first session and 48 participants in the second session.

The Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P (K), delivered a message in his speech that the in regulations of UNS that now becomes a PTNBH would continuously change. In providing compensation based on performance and achievement in terms of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, academic positions would be compensated only after having the functional Assistant Expert Position. So, the young lecturer is currently expected to immediately manage and have an academic position as Expert Assistant. The Dean said that getting an academic position as Expert Assistant is not too difficult and the process will not too long, as long as everything is in accordance with the existing requirements.
