Upgrading of FK UNS’ Educational Staffs Performance: “Work is a Hobby”

The Faculty of Medicine (FK), Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS), held an Upgrading of Educational Staffs Performance event via offline while still prioritizing and following the Health Protocol during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This event was held for two days in the form of Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) which was a training program for self-development, especially in terms of increasing achievement motivation for the performance of FK UNS’ educational staffs. This activity was held at the main campus of UNS Kentingan Surakarta. This upgrading event was opened by Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P (K) as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine UNS, on Saturday and Sunday, 5 - 6 December 2020 started at 08.00 to 16.30 (Western Indonesian Time). The Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) was attended by all dean leaders and 170 participants from the FK UNS educational staff which were divided into two sessions or two days because it needed to follow the health protocol.

The purpose of the Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) was not to assess the personality of the participants, but to develop the participants' achievement motives. The achievement motive developed by Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) was an encouragement in a person that made him/her seek satisfaction through achieving attainments. In the world of work, Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) was designed to assist agencies in an effort to improve the ability of FK UNS educational staffs in motivating themselves effectively. FK UNS educational staffs who were able to foster self-motivation effectively would greatly affect daily work life and job satisfaction. With this ability, the FK UNS educational staff would foster the enthusiasm for achievement and continue to strive to reap the best results in educational services.
